Surikat Initiates Strategic Blueprint Project with BC Ferries to help optimise the Terminal Operations
Gothenburg, July 1, 2026
Gothenburg, Sweden - July 1, 2026 - Surikat has officially launched a Discovery and Blueprint project in collaboration with the Canadian ferry operator BC Ferries. The engagement focuses on BC Ferries’ Commercial Services Division (CSD), with the goal of transforming and optimising their drop trailer business across three key terminals: Duke Point, Swartz Bay, and Tsawwassen.
By developing a tailored Blueprint, the project lays the groundwork for continued modernisation. Key objectives include reducing manual processes, increasing real-time data visibility, enabling data-driven business decisions, improving dispatching and scheduling, and strengthening BC Ferries’ collaboration and relationships with its commercial customers.
This initial phase will act as a solid foundation for the subsequent implementation of Surikat’s innovative, cloud-based SaaS solution, Lynx.
"We are incredibly proud to partner with BC Ferries on this strategic initiative. Being trusted to design their to-be-processes and operational solutions is a responsibility we take great pride in. This Blueprint project is the first step in what we envision as a strong, innovative, and long-term partnership where Surikat helps shape the next generation of smart terminal operations," says Andreas Alfredsson, COO at Surikat.
With this project, Surikat further solidifies its position as a leading global player in the digitalisation of complex port and logistics operations.
